2018 Citroen C3 Aircross - interior Exterior and Drive
The new Citroen C3 Aircross has been unveiled just days after an image of a scale model leaked online.
Designed to replace the C3 Picasso in the French brand’s range, the C3 Aircross has a different name to go along with its newly adopted crossover styling.
Given the availability of the Grip Control system, it seems as though the C3 Aircross will be exclusively offered as a front-wheel drive vehicle.
Standout features include a large metre-long panoramic sunroof, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment and navigation system, and wireless phone charging.
Available items on the safety roster include a colour head-up display, autonomous emergency braking, semi-automated parking, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, push button start, keyless entry, driver fatigue monitoring, speed sign recognition, and automatic high beam operation.
The Citroen C3 Aircross will be produced in the PSA Group’s plant in Zaragosa, Spain. Under the skin, it shares a platform with the Opel Crossland X and the next-generation Peugeot 2008.
Australia
The C3 Aircross goes on sale in Europe near the end of the year.
It’s unclear if the C3 Aircross will be offered in Australia. Peugeot and Citroen recently changed their local distributor from Sime Darby to Inchcape.
The new importer has been given the task of expanding both brands’ presence on the local market, but it’s not known yet which models will and won’t be making the long journey to Australia.
